Mike Sixel

Mike is a 25 year old Wisconsin native who works as a Military Honor Guard for the Oregon National Guard. He’s been training martial arts since the age of 4 in various disciplines (such as Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu) and has competed in over 200 tournaments.

In 2005 after serving a 13-month tour in Iraq, he moved to Oregon to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts and joined the world-famous “Team Quest” training facility headed by UFC veterans Dan Henderson and Matt Lindland. Within one year, Mike was competing in feature bouts in such organizations as King of the Cage.

Sixel Planning on Making his Professional Debut!

King of the Cage is planning on holding the biggest event so far at Lake of the Torches on July 19, 2008. So what better way to start his professional career than at the renown Lac Du Flambeau, WI venue. It is a long time coming, but all the pieces are in place and he is planning on coming into the professional ranks with a bang!

The King of the Cage: Stand Off from Mike's February 22, 2008 Michigan fight, is now playing on Pay Per View. It was set up as a four man lightweight tournament and both of Mike's fights are aired. Check it out!

Oregon Military Funeral Honors Team Ranked No. 1 in Nation!
March/April 2008
Mike Sixel, a Sergeant in the National Guard, was part of an eight man Oregon team that competed and won against the nations best! The competition was held in Camp Rilea, OR, from March 31 to April 3, 2008. The primary purpose of this competition is to assist in improving each others honor guard skills, and to make sure each veteran is honored with the highest possible standards.
